In 1999 we purchase a 16x80 to place on our five acres. The home we were sold was supposed to have plywood floors set on 16" centers, they are particle board on 24" centers.

They are now warping and weak and I have had to replace several hundred sq. feet that has gone bad and I have several hundred more that are in need. The walls are supposed to be 2"x 4" on 16"centers . They are 2" X3" on 24" centers and glued in place.

The glue is literally popping loose and more the 2/3rds of the wall panels need replacing ( no exaggeration) The roof is the same shotty construction.it literal looks like a wave pool and you can see the glue bleeding through the ceiling panels. They are ALL sagging on the 24" centers. We did not discover most of this until after Katrina while doing repaired. We also discovered the this particular home did not meet code for zone 2 housing and was unlawful to even sell in this state.

They had already pulled out of Mississippi though about a year after the purchase. and the state says we need to file a civil suit which would cost tens of thousands as if we have that, right.

And BTW, Oakwood Mobile Home corporate office was fully award of the Alcoholic Phlim Phlam Manager they put here yet the to date refuse to acknowledge the nightmare the reaped on dozens of people here on the coast. This is all documented and provable.

Reason of review: Not as described/ advertised.

Monetary Loss: $35000.

Location: Gulfport, Mississippi
